terms & conditions and Cancellation policy

Urgh. Really?

Yep. I know they’re boring, but they’re here partly for health & safety / insurance reasons, and partly to ensure everyone finds the course as enjoyable as possible. These are worthwhile causes, I’m sure you’ll agree.

I’ve kept them as brief as possible.

Here goes...

Terms & Conditions

i

The minimum age requirement for the course is 18 unless participants under that age are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The course is not recommended for those under 14 due to its physicality.

ii

Direct vehicle access to site is limited to 4x4s which should be parked within the bounds of the site. Please do not park on the track outside as it’s a public highway, used daily by walkers, horses, tractors and other traffic. Non-4x4 vehicles should be left in one of the several free car parks / spaces in town. Please let me know in advance if you’d like a lift to-and-from town or else it’s a beautiful 20 minute walk for those who’d prefer.

iii

Space for camping is provided free of charge on the night before, after, and in between the course dates. Camping equipment (tents / bedding etc) is not provided.

iv

We’re based in a woodland we share with animals other than ourselves - including walkers - who have delicate ears. Please do not use speakers or any other form of amplified music on site.

v

Any / all litter must be taken home and appropriately disposed of.

vi

I reserve the right to cancel courses at up to 7 days notice. This is a mechanism for use as a last resort only. You will be refunded in full with sincere apologies if so, OR your booking can be carried forward to the next available course - as you wish.

With thanks for your cooperation

Cancellations

I love running these courses, but there’s a good deal of prep that goes into each one, not least the upfront cost and effort of sourcing and processing materials.

I also rely on your attendance when determining the number of places for other people: if you’re booked in, then that’s a space that’s not available to anyone else.

With that in mind, the following has been formulated as what I feel is a fair and reasonable cancellation policy. I hope you’ll agree and booking onto a course assumes your acceptance of these terms.

With thanks for your understanding.

Cancellation Policy

FOR SCHEDULED COURSES

Cancellations at more than 4 weeks’ notice from the start date of the course will be refunded in full, OR your booking can be rolled forward to the next available course - as you wish.

Cancellations at less than 4 weeks’ notice from the start date of the course will not be refunded - and neither is your space transferrable - unless your original space can be filled by someone else.

In this scenario, the original space will be re-advertised and, in the event it can be filled, the cost of your course will be refunded, less a £20 cancellation fee, OR your booking can then be rolled forward to the next available course - as you wish.

No-shows on the days of the course will forfeit all payments.

All cancellations must be given in writing via email.

FOR COMMISSIONED COURSES

A party must nominate a single individual to be responsible for all payments.  All business between RedStringBows and your party shall be conducted through them.

A non-refundable Booking Deposit of 20% of the total course cost is required to schedule a commissioned course.  This secures the dates for your party and is to cover the purchase of materials and prep work.  The Balance is then due no later than 4 weeks before the course date.

Cancellations after the Booking Deposit has been paid but before the Balance has been paid (i.e. more than 4 week’s notice prior to the course date):  If an individual member of your party cancels in this period, either their booking can be rolled forward to the next available scheduled course, or their portion of the deposit will be forfeit.  If the entire party cancels in this period, then either a new date can be scheduled for all (or a minimum party of 2 people), or individual bookings can be rolled forward to the next available scheduled course, or deposits will be forfeit pro rata.

Cancellations after the balance has been paid but up to 2 weeks prior to course dates (i.e. 4-2 weeks notice prior to the course date): subject to the same terms as the previous paragraph, but with full costs pro rata.

Cancellations at less that two weeks notice prior to the course date: all monies will be forfeit in totality.

No-shows on the days of the course will forfeit all payments.

All cancellations must be given in writing via email.
